In this seminar, Fernando Reina will deal with the recent developments in the Spanish renewable energy market on the construction and development of large-scale renewable energy projects (mostly wind farms and solar PV) without subsidies, including the analysis of the last auctions carried out by the Government and the current regulatory framework. In addition, he will also concentrate on the recent rise of the PPA market in Spain for these projects and will analyze the particular clauses to be taken into account when drafting a PPA, having participated in the negotiation and signing for BayWa r.e. renewable energy group of the first PPA executed in Spain for 15 years for Don Rodrigo PV project located in Seville of about 175 MWp with Norwegian company Statkraft. Finally, he will speak about the recent regulatory changes introduced by the last regulations published in Spain in October 2018 on the integration of renewable energy projects and energy transition.
